Christophe Germain is appointed Dean of Audencia Business School
In order to pursue its evolution – after a transition period that gathered its activities in a common brand and implemented its new EESC status (consular higher education school) – Audencia is strengthening its development policy both in France and abroad. Laurent Métral, the school’s Chairman of the Board, entrusts this mission to Christophe Germain by appointing him Dean.
“After his successes in the development of Shenzhen Audencia Business School (SABS) in China as well as in his position of Vice-Dean for more than 10 years, entrusting Christophe Germain with full powers to achieve the school’s next objectives is an obvious choice, if only for his in-depth knowledge of the Higher Education and Research environment, whose complex ecosystem and codes are specific. He benefits from a strong legitimacy both academically and pedagogically, in France and abroad, internally and externally. This will enable him to pursue the dynamic school’s development while identifying new levers for growth,” says Laurent Métral, who endorsed this decision at the school’s board of directors meeting on April 4.
Graduate of University of Bordeaux (PhD) & IHEE (The Institute of Higher Learning in Business), Christophe Germain was successively Deputy Director of the Grande Ecole Programme (2002-2007), Academic Director (2007-2015), Vice-Dean (2010-2015/2016-2018), Acting Dean (January 2016-September 2016) and Dean of Shenzhen Audencia Business School (2016-2018).
“I am taking up my new position with a lot of enthusiasm, supported by the ambition of all the school’s employees to achieve the goals that we set ourselves, in line with Audencia’s 2020 strategic plan. With all of our stakeholders, we are determined to take up the exciting challenges that await us in the future,” comments Christophe Germain.
