Increasing internationalization of the Master’s in Management Program

“This is the first of the four strategic pillars that I proposed when I was named director last May at the end of the five-year secondment of Philippe Dépincé – whose work I naturally applaud. The internationalization of the Master’s in Management Program corresponds to an ambition shared by the executive management, the Faculty and of course the students. That resolute action is designed to guarantee graduates a high level of opportunities in an open, global economy,” according to Nicolas Arnaud, the new director of the Master’s in Management Program, who took over the management reins just before the summer of 2017. That aim quickly resulted in the approval, via the Master’s in Management Program committee on 15 May, of the creation of the English Track, which provides an English course right from the first year. In addition, the creation of a new geography course focusing on the United States as well as that of two additional English-speaking groups in the second year and intercultural courses taught in English will reinforce and extend that strategic option. But Nicolas Arnaud wants to go further and faster: “In the same vein, we have developed our communication to students to raise their awareness about the CFA and the courses to prepare for it.” CFA? The Chartered Financial Analyst program is the star certificate of the world of finance, still too little known in France, but is increasingly required as a prerequisite for employment in the Anglo-Saxon world. And do not be surprised if finance has place of honor in this global offensive because, as Nicolas Arnaud says, “We are excellent in this area, so it is important to make it known and to show that our students are among the best in these business lines.” An aim that goes hand in hand with the director’s agenda: to help expand the international influence of the School together with the students.
