On-the-job training: new!

Open to professional career development contracts for the last five years, the Bachelor’s degree course of Audencia Business School, which next academic year will offer work-study programs for the Marketing and Business management majors, has just obtained agreement from the Regional Council to open a new on-the-job training program for third-year students. Twenty new places will be offered in on-the-job training as part of the Business management course. For Isabelle Petit, the Corporate Relations Manager for Audencia Bachelor’s degree courses, this openness is a boon: “It should be remembered that this work-study program enables a ten-month work experience in a company, which is a decisive asset for the employability of young people. The latter often receive an offer of employment at the end of their training, the employer having been able to gauge their abilities to fulfil the tasks assigned to them. It was therefore logically a major expectation of companies and some students.” This new quota of places – subject to the agreement of the Regional Council, which sets the quotas – is also a financial opportunity for the students, to the extent that the tuition fees are borne by the company which also pays the students during their training as employees.
