Collaborative supportive kitchen garden
Launched last March during the “Forty-eight Hours of Urban Agriculture”, the collaborative, supportive kitchen garden of Audencia Business School is designed to become a venue for awareness-raising and on-the-job training. In recent months, Audencia students and associates have mobilized around this project supported by Yann Lescouarch, the manager of Culture d’Entreprises, a facilitator of knowledge and a fan of biodiversity. An urban kitchen garden with an environmental purpose, why not? But in order to make the project even more meaningful, a partnership with the Secours Populaire NGO was quickly formed, the association becoming the sole beneficiary of the crops. Every Monday, from noon to 2 pm, more and more students and associates have been taking part in the “Kitchen Garden Workshops” hosted by Yann Lescouarch. The garden, backed by the “Biodiversity & Food” working group, consisting of Audencia associates and led by Audencia CSR, has already been the setting for thirty-five Kitchen Garden workshops. One hundred and twenty-six kilos and eighty-four varieties of ultra-fresh organic vegetables and herbs have been harvested and offered to Secours Populaire.
