2017
High-profile event
Presidential Election Indicator, inauguration of the Mediacampus, organization and celebration of the 30th edition of the Audencia Business School Triathlon in La Baule, the Semaine Blanche… Each of these many events in 2017 confirmed the vitality of Audencia events and produced widespread media spin-off. Frank Dormont, the School’s Communication Director, talks about these highlights: “By developing the concept of the ‘Presidential Election Indicator’, in partnership with the Sciences Po Political Research Center (CEVIPOF) and HEC Business School, we wanted to provide our students, stakeholders and society at large with objective means to understand and analyze the proposals for Higher Education made by the various candidates for the presidential elections. The analysis, which was widely relayed on the social networks with the support of the ‘20 Minutes’ daily, extended to a third phase between the two rounds. The ‘Fact Checking’ conference organized on our campus in Paris was the event of the day most relayed on social networks.” Another success was the inauguration of the Mediacampus – (cf. the Audencia SciencesCom tab) –one of the high points of 2017 for the Communication & Marketing Department, which was closely involved in its organization and succeeded in obtaining national and international coverage of the event. Less than six months after obtaining the top tweet for the Fact Checking conference, the Communication Department reiterated the feat with the inauguration of the new building for Audencia’s Communication School! It would not be fair to close this year’s report without referring to the huge success of the Semaine Blanche of the Centrale-Audencia-Ensa Nantes Alliance, which brought together more than 1000 students from the three schools for a weeklong creative hackathon. Finally, another crowning achievement to the credit of the Communication Department: the organization of the 30th annual triathlon. Once again, the Communication Department pulled out all the stops and invited the who’s who of sport and business – as well as many journalists – to celebrate a must-see sports event.
