Transition Talents: creating synergies to support associations and job-seekers
As part of the Transition Talents experiment, public and private stakeholders in the region are taking action to support associations and job-seekers in the City’s Priority Districts. In a similar way to companies, many associations have to change by rethinking their business model, finding new sources of funding or seizing digital opportunities. Young job-seekers need concrete professional experience, adapted to allow them to demonstrate their ability to pursue change within an organization.
Backed by that shared vision, the Prefecture of Loire-Atlantique and the CSR Chair of Audencia Business School initiated a project to link these two groups of stakeholders, and brought together a large number of other public and private partners*, in order to integrate it with other support schemes in the City’s Priority Districts.
Specifically, five associations were supported by job seekers, themselves supervised by professional consultants, on a five-week transformation project. The latter trained the job-seekers on a work-shadowing and mentoring basis, while guaranteeing the quality of support for the associations. The job-seekers benefitted from a two-week training program, plus two weeks of support at the end of the assignment, to evaluate the experience as part of their job search.
