Audencia SciencesCom standing in the way of sexism
After the keen interest in the “No More Clichés” campaign of 2016, the All Women, All Communicating network of the “Communication & Enterprise” association – renamed COM-ENT at the end of 2017 – is continuing its commitment to non-sexist communication and its partnership with Audencia SciencesCom. The “Communication School” had the benefit of a lecture by the association for its 1st and 2nd year students at the start of the academic year in September 2017. Thanks to the framework for reading and analysis developed by the network, the future professionals of Audencia SciencesCom were able to identify and assess latent sexist representations in advertisements and the media, to better fight them in their future career.
In addition, 1st year students worked on a practical communication plan for the association as part of the solidarity campaign, with concept, tag-line, communication and promotion guidelines for a major issue: “How to raise the awareness of future communicators (and citizens) against sexism in our society with a digital campaign, using the kit for non-sexist communication?” A highly topical issue, the results of which should be of keen interest to the school.
